Happy Easter !!

Hello ! I'm in Toronto right now, enjoying my baby sister as much as I can. She's leaving on Tuesday, so these days have been very busy for us to get as much of Toronto as we can. This picture was taken at a house near our friends place, where we stayed. We just got back after walking all over Toronto, and rushed to the computer...wanted to post this one before midnight, while it was still Sunday, and being able to SHOUT happy Easter !

p.s: SHOUT, next Found Art Friday's theme...!

Green Hope

My new piece... It's the story of a seed hoping to grow into a tree. She won't mind the pesticides or other chemicals. She's just hopeful.

Another Vintage Rocker

Just check out this rocker, twin to the one I found on the old church at my sons recital. It was posted by vintagejane on her Etsy shop and found by Jenn Ski. Definitely, we attract what we think about the most. Or was it a simple coincidence...no! :)

Babel

This is one of my two new pieces. I kind of had a dream about it and had to stay up until late in order to see it finished. Its killing me. I had to take it downstairs so I could stop looking at it. Please dont think Im trying to take part in any religious beliefs. I just think the actual story of the Babel Tower is an interesting piece, plus it was a perfect theme to display my passion for arches, doors, windows, people, and civilizations.

Hope you like it like I do!

-Babel- 12x12 inches. Acrylics and paper on MDF board.

p.s: Please note I couldnt type any apostrophes or quotations in this text. I have a new lap top and Im experimenting typical technical problems of -computer challenged- people! ...ha ha ha...will fix this soon.

Flower Records

Hello everyone ! Seems like years...I COULD NOT wait to share these two new pieces with you...Hopefully one of them will be on Cathy Nichols blog tomorrow in her Found Art Project. Its called Flower Records. It is a found because the backlayer of the flower-records are actually ceiling fans from a Home Depot catalogue !!!! I guess the pallette I choose was so retro, I had to punch some papers and glue the small circles in the middle to give it a record look. Im so in love with this one...soon for sale ! I apologize for taking too long in opening my Etsy store...but it will happen soon...!!!!! :)

Sudden Inspiration

My son had his second piano recital yesterday. It took place in an old church nearby. We made the BIG mistake of taking my daughter too. She was yelling and running around while everyone was so silent...I had to carry her into a nursery room I had no idea about. Once we entered, I saw this big, green-mustard-brown, so cool, mid-century rocker !!!! I couldn't help taking a picture of it. Note the texture of the fabric...sure I'll print this picture and use it as paper for one of my pieces... More inspiration !!!

The second picture was taken after the recital was over...She wanted to play the piano too !!

The Rock and the Fungus

I believe everything is related in nature. The rock was "born" out of the empty space left by the spot in the fungus. Or, was the spot "born" after I cut the shape of the rock ? We are all just one whole thing, definitely.

This original and prints with the colors of my past will be available for sale soon.

Gotham News

She did it ! A got my little exposure on Cathy Nichols' blog today. Thanks Cathy!

"Gotham City" work in progress by Veronica (who has my favorite name). She was playing with shapes and cut-outs when this cityscape emerged. She talks more about the process on her brand new blog today!"

Doubtful

I'm constantly inspired by nature, but I tend to see things in a different way. I love to paint things the way I see them, or the way I want them to be. That's why I add movement and "sound" to my artwork, and human characteristics to other living things. It's too hard for me to hold quiet images on my mind.

Can you guess the music in this one? I still don't know if I should call it "Dancing Trees" or "Dancing People," though the initial intention was to paint a "Dancing Forest". Help ?
